We are looking for a music teacher for the autumn term of 2026, preferably in combination with another subject, for Entréskolan Västerås to teach music for grades 4-9 and our music profile. We seek someone who is driven and wants to be a part of our students' musical development. Our music profile focuses on rock bands with singing, keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums as the main instruments. Experience in organizing larger performances and collaborations with other artistic expressions such as dance and theater is a plus. Read more about our music profile on our website. The position is 60% but can be combined with another subject up to 100%.

Entréskolan is an artistic primary school for grades 4-9 with a focus on active learning through creative creation based on aesthetic expressions in subject-integrated work areas. Entréskolan has locations in Västerås, Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and Örebro. We offer four artistic profiles: theater, music, dance, and art.

Entréskolan is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach in various work areas. We work to ensure that every student is involved and active in their learning. We want our students to feel safe, seen, and respected at Entréskolan. As a teacher with us, you are an important part of this work.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working with adolescents in primary school. At Entréskolan, the academic year is divided into subject-integrated work areas where teaching is planned collaboratively by teachers around a group of students. Therefore, it is important that you thrive in a role where collaboration is a central part. We also prefer that you have good IT skills since a large part of the work is done with digital tools. As a person, you enjoy a role where you have significant personal responsibility and are given the space to take many initiatives while also being able to listen and collaborate with others. You are creative and come up with new ideas and approaches.

Education

You hold relevant education and experience. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and the willingness to work with subject integration in active learning with computers as a pedagogical tool.
